LOOKBOOK NO.53

I am SO ready for summer, come on already! Zanzibar was a tease, I want to wear my bikini and kaftans everyday like I did there.

It was way too hot for anything other than beachwear. Before I left I picked up a coral bikini from Cotton On. Here I wore it with a Ruby Yaya off the shoulder tassel kaftan and a Klines bracelet. This summer I want any and every top I can find that is off the shoulder and tassels on everything, it's all about boho dressing.

P.S Doesn't a fake tan make everything so good? I am petrified of the sun and what it can do to us. I'm a beach baby but am always under the umbrella like a beach nerd, constantly putting on sunscreen. There are such brilliant products available now that there is really no need to bake ourselves under the harsh sun to get a tan. Before I left for Zanzi I went to Zhoosh Beauty in Cape Town to get a Fake Bake spray tan and not only did I not bother roasting myself to get some colour, it made me feel good and made everything I wore really look it's best. At home I use Tropitone Bronze It. It is super affordable and goes on at night after a shower the same as your body lotion. It gradually builds up into a perfect glow and it is honestly my best kept secret, well not anymore now. But seriously, don't spend hours trying to tan. Rather spend a little money and fake it, so much healthier that way.

So so beautiful! Which Tropitone bronzer do you use, and do you have any tips for bronzing?

Hi Emma, I use Bronze It in Medium. I do a proper full body scrub before I apply it to make sure it goes on evenly and to make sure I don't have anything on my skin such an oil or cream. If you wax your legs, wait a few days before you apply a fake tan as it will stick to any wax left behind and go darker on those areas.
