ZARA PORT ELIZABETH PRESS TRIP

Monday, November 18, 2013

Zara opened thier biggest store in SA on Friday morning at Walmer Park in Port Elizabeth and invited some media along to the opening. What's great about this, that's it opened in PE, is that it hopefully means other brands like Topshop and H&M will follow. Clearly there is a market. I started the trip with my usual magazine shop at Exclusive's. I always stock up at the airport. Not sure why when there's one down the road from me.

We flew on a small, two seat by two seat propeller plane. Enough said about that. This greeted us at the Radisson Blu so all was ok.

I love my new Blackcherry bag. I had to pack it.

How cute is this! Each mag was welcomed with their own cake. My Fairlady cake was a scrumptious mix of strawberries, chocolate and berry mousse.

We had lots of free time which meant I could start reading these, three of my faves.

That also meant there was lots of time for hotel room selfie taking.

This Mr Price backpack is flavour of the month right now for me.

Two days meant four pairs of shoes (naturally) including my Nikes (I only wore two pairs, like a normal person).

We had a special dinner hosted by Zara. I wore a Zara top (obviously) and Mr Price skirt and heels. Excuse the terrible lighting in these pics. I'm still learning how to actually work my camera.

We were at the store bright and early before the doors opened. It's so big which made it feel like there was a lot more items than we have in Cape Town. They replenish the rails twice a week! so you know you'll find something new with every visit. These are just some of my fave items I saw.

Cut off denim dungarees or a denim pinafore are a must for summer.

I wore a Zara top and earrings to the launch with my Blackcherry bag, Nike Air Max's and an armstack of threaded & embellished bracelets.

We were gifted with these gorg fishy earrings.

I gifted myself with this Zara jumpsuit. I'm keeping it for New Years eve or my birthday.

My room looked straight onto the PE boardwalk and amazing ocean. I saw dolphins and a whale from my room! I couldn't resist a beach walk, before the rain came and it was time for home. Thank you Zara for having me!
