Topshop Cape Town finally opens today and the media got a sneak peak and first chance to shop last night! First I have to tell you that there were a bunch of fashion die-hards camping out over night, over night people!, to be first in line to shop there this morning. They got a voucher for their efforts which makes it okay. It warms our hearts as media to see that there still are fashion crazy people and we were saying that, as bad as times, are SA still wants and will spend on clothing. We have to wear something and why not make sure its on trend, either way clothing costs a lot. But enough of that. If Zara is trendy and classic, and your mom and you both shop there, then think of Topshop as fast fashion with a couple of classics with a twist thrown in. Mom and you can still shop here, but you'll find a lot more. And the prices were better than I thought! It's good quality at what has become 'normal' in terms of prices in major SA retailers. I grabbed a pair of their ballet flats for my Europe trip and a wine coloured lippy that I have been searching for called Beguiled, which came to 380 bucks. Not bad at all. If anything you are going to die over their footwear. Wait till the masses have come and gone and take yourself for a shop. Well worth it. Our fashion cravings have yet again been rescued by an international name. Amen.
P.S. They have a personal shopping service. Just saying.
