HIGH TEA AT THE MOUNT NELSON HOTEL

I had the most indulgent, delectable high tea of my life at The Mount Nelson last week. I also had the most incredibly wonderful, and all the adjectives in between, cup of tea. Our waiter, Sidney, took us through each of their 31 tea varieties. I settled on Forest Berries and the local Strawberry and Vanilla Rooibos. It was out of this world. I am not a tea or coffee drinker unless it's a Rooibos cappuccino, but this I would drink all day, everyday. I am going hunting for it in the shops, although I doubt it would ever taste as good. Each tea pot gets timed for a certain few minutes to allow for the best taste to seep into your boiling water. I die for this tea. I can also say, which is not very often, that each savory and sweet mouthful of delights tasted even better than they looked. So often these mass produced high teas are tasteless, or each treat tastes the same, but not here. I will be back. My taste buds won't let me forget this one.
